Terms of Service

Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]. These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME, e.g. Your Business, LLC] (“we”) for your use of Emlio. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. The service

Emlio connects to an email mailbox you control, drafts replies to new messages using AI, and optionally files messages, sends routine replies you have allowed, and emails you a daily summary. You must be authorized to connect the mailbox, and at least 18 years old.

2. AI drafts are suggestions

Drafts are written by AI and can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate even with the safeguards we use. You are responsible for reviewing drafts before sending them and for everything sent from your mailbox. If you turn on automatic sending, you accept that replies in the categories you choose will be sent without your review, within the limits described in Settings.

3. Trial, billing and cancellation

• The plan costs $9.99 per month, billed in advance through Stripe, plus any applicable taxes.
• New accounts get one 7-day free trial. A payment card is required; it is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first.
• You can cancel anytime from the Billing page. The service keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, and no further charges are made. We don't give refunds for partial months except where the law requires.
• The plan includes up to 500 AI-drafted replies per month. When you reach it, drafting pauses until the next month.
• If a payment fails, the service pauses until the payment method is updated.
• We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next billing period.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Emlio to send spam or unlawful, deceptive or harassing messages, to access mailboxes you aren't authorized to use, to interfere with the service, or to try to reverse engineer it. We may suspend accounts that do.

5. Your data

You keep all rights to your email and business information. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep Emlio running but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features; if we remove a core feature we'll tell you in advance.

7. Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by cancelling and deleting your account in Settings. We may end or suspend the service for breach of these terms, with notice where reasonable.

8. Disclaimers and limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits or business, or for the content of messages sent from your mailbox.
